What is a Dochraid?
The Dochraid is an enigmatic being with a repulsive physical form. She has the appearance of a cadaverous old witch or hag with no eyeballs and lives in the perpetual darkness of a cave.
Is Morgana in Merlin good or bad?
Originally a kind-hearted individual, Morgana became evil after being corrupted by Morgause and being betrayed by her former-friend Merlin. Soon after the Battle of Camlann, and Mordred’s death, Morgana was killed by her nemesis Merlin with Excalibur.
How did Merlin betray Morgana in Merlin?
One of the worst betrayals Merlin ever committed was when he poisoned Morgana. This leads to the ultimate betrayal being committed, with Merlin taking advantage of Morgana’s disheveled mind to slip poison into her water. As Morgana begins to gasp for breath, fans can see the hurt and betrayal in her eyes.
How did Merlin survive the Dorocha?
Arthur went on a quest to the Isle of the Blessed along with Merlin and the Knights. Along the way, Merlin jumped out in front of a Dorocha which was about to attack himself and Arthur, to save Arthur, and became gravely ill. Merlin was later healed by the Vilia and rejoined the others.
Why can’t the White Dragon speak in Merlin?
Merlin chases after Aithusa and when the White Dragon tries to attack him, he blocks the Dragon’s fire with a magical shield and then uses his Dragonlord ability to command Aithusa to stop attacking. Merlin realises that something traumatic happened to Aithusa, and it is revealed that the dragon also cannot speak.
Why does Morgana hate Guinevere?
Morgan also conspires against Arthur’s queen, Guinevere, sometimes because they are rivals for the love of Arthur’s most important knight, Sir Lancelot. After Arthur is wounded in the Battle of Camlan, he is brought to her for healing. Far from plotting his downfall, she promises that she can heal him.

What is Dorocha?
The Dorocha or “The Shadow People” are the voices of the deceased who come out only at night. It is unknown if all the people who die become Dorocha, or just a portion of them. However, they are said to be numberless. They appear as demonic, screaming/shrieking skeletons that are made of smoke.
Why did they end Merlin?
The decision to end the show with Arthur’s death “What we decided to do was to tell the legend how it was in many ways,” Murphy says. “And I suppose we’re very sad that Arthur had to die, [but] that is a massive part of the legend.” This was the reason for the final scene, where we see Merlin in the present day.
Why does Merlin want to kill Mordred in Merlin?
The Disir give Arthur an ultimatum: embrace magic, or the Triple Goddess will seal his fate against him. Merlin seizes what he sees as the opportunity to kill Mordred and reminds Arthur that there is no place for magic in Camelot. The Disir seal Arthur’s fate and when he returns, Mordred is well again.
