No, there is no swimming immediately in front of the hotel. You can venture down the beach and find more suitable spots for swimming. the Marquis is a magnificent hotel and had every single thing we needed and more the staff are wonderful also.

There’s no “tipping policy,” but it is appreciated. You can tip in dollars and the amount is totally up to you. For example, when hanging out by the pool, we didn’t tip every single time we ordered, but tipped about $5 after ordering a few times. We tipped housekeeping at the end of our stay.
