How do I return a book to the Queens Library?
Return materials 24/7 at exterior return machines or book drops at the locations listed above. Please don’t bring books to closed locations. The Astoria Library book drop is only available during library hours. Baisley Park, Richmond Hill, and Woodside only accept returns during library hours.

How do I renew my library card online?
You may do this by logging into your online library card account. If you have outstanding fines or fees, you can pay them online. Next, you can visit our online card renewal page. Library staff will review your request and renew your card, generally within 48 hours.

Can I use my Queens Library card in Manhattan?
You can use your IDNYC card at any public library in New York City. It can be easily integrated with your account at the New York, Brooklyn, and Queens Public Library Systems, and it is the only card that is accepted across all three.
Can a non-resident get a NYC library card?
Special Notes on Non-Resident (Visitor) Borrowers Non-residents may be issued a visitor’s library card on-site,with a three month expiration date. In order to qualify for a three month visitor account applicants must present photo id and proof of address (i.e. passport and utility bill) for their locality.
