Are there showers at Lake Cachuma campground?
There are flush-toilet restrooms and coin operated showers strategically located throughout the park for easy walking convenience with additional port-a-potty units as needed.
Does Cachuma Lake have fire pits?
There are fire pits available at all sites except in the full hookup sites (sites 1 to 121) at Cachuma Lake. You may bring your own grills (allowed in all sites except Cachuma 1 to 121.

Why can’t we swim in Lake Cachuma?
Cachuma Lake News & Information No Swimming – Cachuma Lake is a domestic water supply, and as such, swimming, water-skiing, windsurfing or any other body contact with the water is prohibited.
Can you kayak in Lake Cachuma?
All Kayaks and Canoes must start their day at the Front Gate of the park between the hours of 7:00AM and 3:00PM. The vessel must enter Cachuma Lake property Clean, Drained, and Dry. Any form of moisture will deny access. All kayaks and canoes will go through a visual inspection and heated power wash.
Is Lake Cachuma open for day use?
Cachuma Lake Recreation Area Gate is staffed from 7:00AM to 5:00PM and staffed later on Fridays during the summer.
How do you camp at Jalama Beach?
Campsites reservations are available online by clicking on the “Make a Reservation!” button on the left. Reservations may be made up to 6 months, to the day, of the check-in date. Keep in mind that summer is our busiest time, and that campsites fill fast. Check-out is 1:00 pm.
Is Cachuma Lake swimming pool open?

Why can you not swim in Lake Cachuma?
Can you kayak on lake Casitas?
Canoes, kayaks and some inflatables are allowed. Inflatables must have a solid floor and transom, at least 3 chambers and 1′ of freeboard. They are subject to inspection before being allowed on the lake.
