What are reserved seating tickets?
In a purely reserved seating (also known as allocated seating or assigned seating) scheme, each ticket is assigned a specific seat in the venue at the time of purchase. Seats are typically identified by row number/letter, seat number, and sometimes by section.
Can I buy two seats on Megabus?
Yes, you can buy two tickets and then you will have the right to occupy two seats.
Do you have to reserve train seats?
Whether you can reserve a seat depends on the carrier you are travelling. When you make a booking online you will be shown the seat reservations available for you chosen train. If you require a reservation you will be allocated one at the time of booking.
Do you need ID for megabus?
No physical tickets are issued for travel. As unaccompanied children under the age of 17 are not permitted to travel on megabus, we recommend that young adults be prepared to produce a photo ID with proof of age to avoid being refused from traveling on our buses.

MB’s policy states: “Customers are advised that megabus will accept up to ONE (1) piece of luggage per passenger reservation. For guidance this must not exceed 62 inches when adding the total exterior dimensions of the piece (length + width + height) and should not weigh more than 50 pounds.
What is unallocated seating?

Customers are allowed to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages onboard. Passengers are not permitted consume or bring alcoholic beverages onboard.
Is megabus really $1?
There are only a few $1 seats on each Megabus route. Therefore, you’ll want to book your seat months in advance in order to score the lowest fare. Prices go up and up as you get closer to the departure date. Also, while $1 seats are awesome, the seats go up in price as more are sold.
Can I reserve a seat on a train after booking?
The allocation of seats that can be reserved is fully booked or you booked your ticket close to the departure time and the seat reservations have already closed. Not to worry, a portion of seats are always left unreserved, you can sit in any vacant unreserved seat.
Can you reserve a seat on an open return?
If you’d like to reserve a seat, search for a Return ticket, if you’re not fussed about seat reservations and aren’t sure when you’re returning, pick an Open Return. Anytime Return – the outward portions of Anytime Returns are valid for five days, including the date on the ticket.
