The night before the Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote on marriage equality legislation, the South Kingstown Town Council just voted unanimously to endorse marriage for all Rhode Island families!
More than 20 marriage supporters were on hand tonight, urging members of the Town Council to support the resolution in support of S38, Rhode Island's marriage equality bill. South Kingstown joins East Providence, Providence, and Warwick in endorsing this crucial legislation.
Tonight's vote on South Kingstown is yet another sign that Rhode Islanders overwhelmingly support the freedom to marry for same-sex couples, and we're confident that it will send a clear message to members of the Senate Judiciary Committee as they consider how they'll vote tomorrow.
