How do you use J-B Weld quick Steel?
- Prepare. Clean surface area of dirt, grease, oil, paint, or loose debris.
- Mix. Squeeze equal parts from each tube onto a disposable surface and mix thoroughly.
- Apply. Apply with appropriate tool in an even coat, weld bead or extruded shape as needed.
- Dry. Sets in 6 minutes.

JB weld is grey, not black The black craft paint or food coloring would work but the more you add the softer the epoxy would get. A better solution might be to use JB Weld to begin with since it’s pretty dark anyway.

JB Weld can be applied in layers. Just clean the surface thoroughly, apply the JB welding, and wait at least 8 hours to re-apply. When applying additional layers, it’s important to wait to apply until the first application is fixed.
What is stronger than J-B Weld?
JB Weld can crumble. It has to be a stronger product than JB Weld. Try an epoxy called Super Mend, it works great and is much stronger.
