Is Kenne Bell CARB legal?
Kenne Bell has been certifying 50 State Legal products with CARB (California Air Resources Board) since 1990. It is our intention to sell only supercharger kits or other products that do not affect emissions. All products with two (**) asterisks designation are not yet certified by CARB as 50 State Legal.
How long does a Kenne Bell supercharger last?
SEAL DAMAGE – Seals will last a long, long time. We have many superchargers out there with 100-250,000 miles on them with the original oil seals and minimum oil use. But we don’t all drive our Kenne Bell superchargers around at low rpm and low boost.
Does supercharger replace intake manifold?
It funnels air into the intake manifold and does not replace the manifold. I would say that having a ported/polished IM and bored throttle body would be a good thing. you’d probably need bigger fuel injectors to go along with it to maximize effeciency.

Twin-screw superchargers pull air through meshing lobes. A twin-screw supercharger operates by pulling air through a pair of meshing rotors that twist alongside each other. Like the Roots supercharger, the air inside a twin-screw supercharger is trapped in pockets created by the rotor lobes.
Can you run a supercharger without a tune?
There is a lot of work put into making the ecu run the motor right for boost. DO NOT run the car without a tune or you will destroy your motor.
What supercharger is better centrifugal or roots?
The rotating mass of a typical roots type supercharger for a V8 is large, with very high inertia compared to most centrifugal compressors. Centrifugal compressors are in a different league. They can easily make more pressure and flow than a roots type and are much more efficient, especially at higher pressure ratios.

Why does a mammoth supercharger make more hp?
Since the Mammoth kit components are over engineered for minimum inlet restriction – the key to positive displacement supercharger HP- they also make HP – they also make more HP at lower boost/ HP levels. No cobbling together expensive parts in an attempt to match the Mammoth Kit airflow.
