What is the difference between H2S Alive and H2S awareness?
In order to receive H2S Alive certification you must receive at least 70% on the short answer written test. H2S Awareness is a course designed specifically for workers whose workplace puts them in situations of risk of H2S exposure but they are not workers in the upstream oil or gas sector.

How much does h2s Alive cost? The cost of this course is 150 dollars plus tax= $157.50 . Candidates receive their credit card receipt by email. They have the option of receiving their written receipt at the class or online.
How do I get CSO certified?
- The participant must have a minimum of 3 years field experience in the construction industry to receive certification as an NCSO.
- To obtain NCSO status, you must successfully complete certification in 13 of the courses listed in the NCSO information package.

H2S Alive certificates are valid for a 3 year period. There is no re-certification or challenge course for H2S Alive. You must complete the course again.

Is there a H2S Awareness Course in Canada?
This course is a theory ONLY course and is available in a ONLINE format. For the ONLINE format select: This course is designed to improve the awareness of the hazards of working in an H2S environment. Students who required Energy Safety Canada (ESC) certification can take the 8 hour H2S Alive course.
Are there any private H2S certification training companies?
Other names for this type of training are; H2S Awareness Training, H2S Certification Training, Hydrogen Sulfide Training, H2S Safety Training, and OSHA H2S Training just to name a few. The reality is that OSHA does not certify any private training companies training, online or not.
